As Members of Genetic Food Alert, a joint campaign of the wholefood trade, we check our products and do not knowingly stock any food products (exc. nutritional supplements until 1st November 2000) that are not 'GM Free to GFA Standards' as defined   below.  Please inform us if you believe that any products we sell do not meet these standards. Genetic Food Alert and its members oppose the production, sale and use of GM food and crops and support the campaign for a Five Year Freeze on GM foods, crops and patents. Products guaranteed as 'GM-Free to GFA Standards' must not contain the following or use any of the following in their manufacture:

a. GM ingredients (including soya or maize products)

b. Derivatives of GM soya, maize, cotton or oilseed rape (including oils, starches, syrups and sugars, fibres, lecithin or vitamins)

c. Honey or honey products (including propolis, beeswax, royal jelly and pollen) known to come from within six miles of a GM crop or test site

d. GM micro-organisms (including some bacteria, brewers yeasts and bakers yeasts) or their products (including some vitamins, aspartame, amino acids, yeast extracts and enzymes)

From the 1st November 2000 the following products will not be considered as 'GM-Free to GFA Standards':

a. Nutritional supplements (exc. prescription medicines) that are not GM-Free to the above standards.

b. Food products from GM-fed animals.
